It can feel a bit daunting on the surface but often when you write the list you realise it isn’t so dramatic.

What’s a grace grower? We all have difficult people in our lives whom The Lord uses to develop our character, ministry and lifestyle….hence “grace growers”.ġ) Make a list of people who you experience difficulty loving and building a relationship with.Ģ) a) What is it about these people that you struggle with?ī) How do they affect you? Does your behaviour change from something you’d prefer it to be?Ĥ)What particular fruits of the Holy Spirit do you need to develop to be with them and to love them effectively? (Galatians 5:22-23, I did it with the bible verses open, no need to know it off by heart)ĥ) What is God teaching you and changing in you?ĭo those steps for all the people you’ve identified. Takes no more than five minutes (unless you’ve got a really long list of grace growers). If you’ve got a smartphone handy or like me carry around two notepads and a small WHSmith’s worth of pens in your bag, get involved.

In “Approaching the Heart of Prophecy” Graham Cooke gives a brilliant exercise that I think every Christian could benefit from.
